Untitled poem about a barking dog

by E. M. Anzalone

If I had a dog that barked every night
I think I would be quite ashamed.
I’d shudder alone
in my upscale home
worried that I might be blamed
for the odious beast’s inconsiderate howl.
It’s hard to believe someone would
let their hideous bitch
screech at such a cruel pitch
disturbing the whole neighborhood.

Thank you for sending!  (I’ll try to keep my sweet little bitch quiet from now on!)
